Learn how to make your very own Korean alcohol in this comprehensive class! Your local traditional Korean alcohol specialists will take you through the fundamentals of brewing makgeolli with an interactive and hands-on experience.
The class begins with a detailed overview of all the different kinds of sool (Korean traditional alcohol) and how they compare to other world alcohols. We cover the various fermentation techniques and how to make delicious alcohol almost anywhere in the world.
After the basics, we get our hands on instruction of the day’s recipe. We will take you from the very beginning stages of washing rice to the final filtering process. After class, take home a kit with all the basic ingredients you will need in order to recreate your own brew after you get home.
Jeon is a Korean Pancke usually served with Makgeolli, we will teach you how to cook jeon so you can enjoy it with your own brew at home!
After brewing, we will serve an authentic Korean lunch cooked by Korean chef. We will also pair the lunch with freshly filtered Makgeolli.
