Class Details
Learn how to make your very own Korean alcohol in this comprehensive class! Your local traditional Korean alcohol specialists will take you through the fundamentals of brewing makgeolli with an interactive and hands-on experience.
The Basics of Brewing
The class begins with a detailed overview of all the different kinds of sool (Korean traditional alcohol) and how they compare to other alcohols of the world. We cover the various fermentation techniques and how to make delicious alcohol almost anywhere in the world.
After tasting a few samples of home-brewed makgeolli, we get our hands on instruction of the day’s recipe. We will take you from the very beginning stages of washing rice to the final filtering process. After class, take home a kit with all the basic ingredients you will need in order to recreate your own brew after you get home.

We are the first and only Korean alcohol education center dedicated solely to English brewing services in Korea! The Sool Company has over 10 years of experience in sool, and we are also a fully functional brewery. Immerse yourself in the world of sool from a team that is truly passionate about the complex and exciting world of makgeolli and beyond.

- All bookings are pending confirmation with our schedule and team, and we will respond within 24 hours!
- Once your booking is made, you will receive an email with payment details and confirmation details
- Classes will run with a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 18
- If only one guest is signed up for the class, you will be notified by email and a full refund given
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the class date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made after the 48 hour period will not receive any refunds. If the class is canceled by management for any unforeseen or unavoidable reason, guests will receive a full refund.
Important
Our events, unless otherwise noted for special occasions, are for guests of legal drinking age. Age is verified at events with an ID card, passport, or driver’s license in order to ensure compliance with local laws and customs.
