Sool Saturdays - Sool Geurida (술 그리다)

A Sool Wonderland

Sometimes it's about the food pairings, sometimes it's about the atmosphere, but this time it's all about the sool! There are times when you just want to get stuck into tasting a large variety of good quality makgeolli, cheongju and soju, but finding a place that carries all your favourite gems proves a bit tough. It's always then that we turn to this special location in Hapjeong that is dedicated to stocking an impressive selection with a cozy cafe style ambiance. With one wall entirely made up of refrigerators, you can peruse what the owner has fresh in stock and just help yourself as though in your own living room. For this Sool Saturday we have a simple objective, sample as many different kinds of sool as we can! So while there will be some light dishes, we do recommend having something to eat beforehand. If you want to have the chance to try all different kinds of sool, this is your chance!

What Are 'Sool Saturdays'?

Sool Saturdays are monthly gatherings open to anyone interested in exploring different styles of sool and food pairings. Held on the first Saturday of every month, Sool Saturdays are a casual evening of sampling and tasting. Each location is carefully selected and the menu curated by The Sool Company, whether it be for their delicious food, sool selection, atmosphere…or all three! Whether you come alone or bring friends, our Sool Saturdays are all about eating and tasting delicious food and drinks with like-minded souls. The price of the ticket includes all food and a variety of makgeolli, takju, cheongju and soju. There is one thing that will always be guaranteed at a Sool Saturday, the sool will be the star 🙂
